The Different Types Of Health Insurance Plans

When youıre shopping for your own health coverage, you donıt have to settle for whatever your employer thinks is best. You get the advantage of choosing the right plan for you.

And you have plenty of options.

Types Of Health Policies
There are several kinds of policies for you to choose from. Here are a few of the most popular.

*Health Savings Accounts (HSA's) are still our biggest selling medical insurance plan.  Built specifically for the small business owner, self employeed, or independent sales person.  Take control of your health care spending by purchasing a high family deductible major medical at a lower than normal premium then take care of your "smaller" medical expenses yourself TAX FREE!

Health Savings Accounts offer you tax incentives such as 100% bottom line tax deductions, tax deferred interest, and tax free money to cover medical expenses. You may use your HSA to pay for services not normally covered by insurance such as eye exams and dental services.  Best of all, the money you deposit in your HSA is YOURS and not the insurance companies.  In addition the money you do not use over the year rolls over each year giving you even more power as to how you spend your money on your health care.  You can actually gather more information concerning Health Saviings Accounts at the US Department Of Treasury web site. http://www.ustreas.gov/offices/public-affairs/hsa

*Traditional Health Insurance Plans are still a popular choice. You choose your deductible and co-insurance that includes a Doctor visit co-pay and a prescription drug card.

  • Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans are a popular choice for people who value flexibility. A form of managed care, PPOs give you the most savings when you get care from a doctor, hospital or other provider within the planıs ınetworkı. But even if you do choose to receive care from outside the network, your PPO still provides some coverage.

*Sub-Standard Major Hospital Plans are offered to clients who do not qualify for mainstream coverage due to health reasons such as diabetes.  This policy gives you the option of 3 deductibles and is a TRUE $2,000,000 major hospital plan.  Doctor co-pays and prescription cards may be added to make the plan more comprehensive.  We also can design plans for our clients who are on a very strict budget, but still desire catastrophic insurance coverage.
